The COOL LIFT is a minimally invasive, laser facelift done under local anesthesia and utilizes 4 different standard techniques for skin tightening and rejuvenation. It takes approximately one hour to 90 minutes.
The COOL LIFT™   technique recontours and tightens the skin and reshapes the jowls by utilizing laser liposuction which is an exceedingly difficult area to treat with a standard facelift. The laser lipolysis in the jowls not only reshapes the area but as a result of the heat that is delivered to the undersurface of the skin helps tighten that skin in most patients for 4-9 months following the procedure. The laser liposuction technique is also used in the neck portions of the procedure. Laser liposuction is a standard procedure for liposuctioning of the abdomen, thighs and the back; and has been heralded by many plastic surgeons to have the advantage of creating better skin tightening than one would see with standard liposuction.
Dr. Boss elevates the deep tissues with suspension sutures. He then tightens the muscular layer and finally removes excess skin.

With this technique the skin requires a minimal elevation and can be done under local anesthesia. In addition, the Cool Lift technique does not interrupt the lymphatic channels so that there is less bruising and swelling which results in much more rapid recuperation.  Post-operative downtime is usually 5-7 days before one can return to their usual activities.
